is silent, relying on Slade's illustrations to both tell the story of Ivy and Sprout and convey the emotions behind their adventures. Slade's illustrations are so expressive and full of life that the pages radiate the feelings of his characters, and the lack of dialogue is hardly noticed. Korgi
is as intricately illustrated, rich and fully imagined as an animated film. The character of Sprout himself is adorable in the extreme. While there is some danger of overcuteness at points, few will mind being drawn into this touching, exciting story suitable for fantasy fans of all ages.
